General Information

Summer school at ASU is considered to be at the end of the school year. The eligibility of each student aid applicant for summer school is based upon remaining annual limits for grants and loans. You cannot be considered for summer school aid unless you are a degree-seeking student at ASU. To be considered for student loans during the summer, you must be enrolled at least half time (6 hours). NOTE: If there are errors, discrepancies and/or omissions found in your file during the review process, it is possible that your complete status may change to incomplete. If so, you will be notified.

I certify that I do not owe a refund on any grant, am not in default on any loan, and have not borrowed in excess of the loan limits, under the Title IV programs, at any institution.

Statement of Updated Information

I certify that, as of the date I sign this statement, all items pertaining to my dependency status, household size, and number of family members in college reported on my application for financial aid reflects any changes that have occurred since I submitted my application other than any changes caused by a change in marital status.

Repeated Coursework Policy

This policy allows a student to receive financial aid under the following situations: To repeat any failed course until a passing grade is received. To repeat one time any course in which a passing grade of “D” or higher was previously received. Repeating a previously passed course two or more times may result in an adjustment to financial aid eligibility. Any adjustments will typically occur after the start of the semester during which the student is repeating the course, so students are responsible for monitoring their own enrollment in repeated coursework. Terms and Conditions

  1. This offer of award is contingent upon your admission as a regular student and your enrollment in the University. If you are not admitted as a regular, degree seeking student, you may not be eligible for some types of financial aid.
  2. Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). A copy of the SAP policy is located on the ASU website on the Financial Aid page under Standards at jyt5tj.tvboke.com.
  3. Students are required to notify the Financial Aid Office of any additional financial aid received from outside/additional resources (i.e. Stipend, Community Scholarships, etc.) Receipt of additional resources may result in an adjustment of financial aid originally offered. You will be required to repay any balances owed if an adjustment is made.
  4. Students receiving financial aid who finds it necessary to add, drop, audit classes, have classes canceled, or do not begin attendance in any classes for which they are registered must notify the financial aid office immediately. Any of the actions above could result in cancellation of award offered. REPEATED classes can reduce/cancel your Federal Aid.
  5. Students must reapply for financial aid each academic year. Summer Financial Aid Application is available online if you have plans to attend summer school. Loans received during Fall/Spring can affect your Summer Loan Eligibility - Borrow Only What You Need!
  6. Must have a Master Promissory Note (MPN) on file and Entrance Loan Counseling before receiving your loan (Students must attend 6 hours per term in order to receive loan payment to account). Master Promissory Note/Entrance Loan Counseling – complete at http://studentaid.gov.
  7. Institutional Scholarships are awarded by recommendation from various areas such as Admissions, Athletics, Band and Music. If you are interested in Institutional Scholarships, contact the individual department for eligibility requirements. Scholarship recipients are recommended to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for Federal and/or State Aid. You can apply via the web at http://studentaid.gov. If, after filing the FAFSA, you are eligible for a Federal Pell Grant, your scholarship will be reduced by the amount of the Federal Pell Grant (reduction applies to President’s Excellence, Provost Scholar, pg电子下载 Achieve and Provost Diversity Scholar recipients). Also, if receiving more than one institutional scholarship, all institutional scholarships combined (including Pell amount reduction for full academic scholarships) cannot exceed the cost of tuition, room and board (plus allocated books/stipends). Institutional Scholarships includes Academic, Band, Music or any scholarship deemed as institutional. If you receive two or more scholarships or State Scholarships/Grants that specify tuition, room or board, your scholarship will be reduced accordingly. This also includes students that agree to work as a Residential Assistant. You cannot receive payment for two (2) tuitions, two (2) rooms and/or two (2) boards.
  8. Mandatory Attendance: Students that complete the registration process are required to attend class before receiving Federal Student Aid. Once dropped because of non-attendance, you will not have the opportunity to be reinstated unless Academic Affairs deems an extenuating circumstance existed. Failure to attend class will result in reduction or cancellation of your federal aid funds.
  9. State Financial Aid Eligibility Requirements (Mississippi Residents only): Undergraduate students must enroll in and earn (complete with passing grades) 15 credit hours per semester to maintain eligibility for state aid for programs that require full-time enrollment.
